Key Responsibilities • To be responsible for the preparation of consolidated plans (5 year and short-term), forecasts and monthly MI ensuring the provision of relevant, reliable, insightful and timely information for decision making; • To draft the planning and forecasting instructions for the Divisions in a timely and concise manner; • Through the provision of the consolidated five year plan, forecasts and monthly Management Information • To identify key issues and areas for challenge and provide resolution of these and to engage with Divisions in debating these issues including with Senior Management • To draft the executive commentaries on group financial performance for inclusion in board reports; • To maintain effective working relations with the Business Units and across Group • To ensure high quality, technically accurate and professionally presented MI reporting; • Ad hoc projects and financial modelling as required; • To deputise for the Head of Group MI & Planning as required Essential Experience • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or actuary with a minimum of 2 years in industry. • Experience in the Insurance Industry is preferred however candidates from other areas of the financial services will be considered • A proven track record in high level MI production • Group reporting experience • High level analytical skills Preferred Experience • Life Assurance reporting • Solvency Reporting • Understanding of life assurance and fund management businesses
