Senior MD at a global financial services organisation based in London. The role demands a track record of commercial deal management. Experience does not need to be limited specifically to the securities servicing industry. This is not a "sales" role.
Position Objective:
Function is responsible for Business Development for securities within region reporting to Global Practice Head
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate acquisition candidates that can be accretive to securities; work with firm-wide partners (e.g., Corporate M&A) to shepherd and execute deals (e.g., business case, synergies, socialization)
Identify partnership opportunities through comprehensive scan of the existing vendor base, the industry as well as opportunistically
Interact with senior executives of prospective/current partners to develop opportunities that can generate meaningful impact for the business
Evaluate and prioritize ideas and opportunities through business judgment and fact-based business and financial analysis
Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., product partners, technology, legal) to execute on the deals and get it implemented by the appropriate product organization —ensure revenue realization from the deals

Broad senior exposure in securities servicing and across products and functions, as well as with large global or specialized external parties

Qualifications
Post-graduate degree (incl but not limited to MBA)
Min 10 years (ideally 15) years of post-grad experience, most/all in financial services
Senior presence and ability to operate at different levels (e.g., research/analysis, thought-partnership with seniors, presentations, interactions with partners, etc)
Flexibility in reprioritizing tasks as necessary and juggling multiple projects
Proven ability to work independently and be self-starter
Ability to influence and coordinate multiple internal stakeholders around a common goal and strategy, particularly on specific deals
Allocating resources across multiple priorities with varying levels of complexity.
Exceptional strategic skills; ability to conceptualize and execute on the business vision.
