Role
This role is required to survey NIG client’s commercial premises to assess Fire, Theft and Liability hazards and Risk Management issues. You will produce survey reports and risk Improvement reports for NIG underwriters and clients to ensure risks satisfy NIG underwriting appetite and have acceptable controls in place. You will be travelling to client premises to conduct surveys and will be expected to develop and build strong relationships with local brokers and NIG staff.
Responsibilities
All relevant aspects of risk are examined in detail. Therefore you will be required to identify unsatisfactory features and explain and justify to all parties any measures to be taken to bring risk aspects to an acceptable standard. You will be required to prepare written reports to underwriters recommending acceptance or otherwise, detailing risk improvements and maintain and develop technical knowledge in all areas of risk management .You will represent NIG on non survey related site visits as required, provide technical guidance to all parties and undertake training of underwriters as directed.
Requirements
You will have a sound working knowledge of commercial Insurance principles, a detailed knowledge of the UK insurance market and previous experience of commercial surveying. A full valid UK Driving licence is required.
ACII and/ or AIRM qualified or working towards qualification. NEBOSH Gen cert in OS&H or willingness to complete.
