You will be involved in financial and business modelling and promoting and improving risk identification and monitoring across the Group.

What you will be doing
Working in Group Risk the successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for:
* Financial and business modelling (reporting to the Head of Modelling) and;
* Promoting and improving risk identification and monitoring across the Group
* Operational risk modelling and economic capital credit risk analysis
* Modelling support for the Bank's Basel 2 programme and lending activities and other involvement in the business planning process
* Analysis of credit, market and operational risk data
* Preparation of regular risk reports for group boards and regulators
* Administration of group insurance arrangements
* Modelling of new business areas

Who they are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
* Advanced knowledge of Excel
* Modelling skills - competent in designing and operating business models in Excel
* Advanced numeracy skills
* Strong interpersonal skills - ability to build relationships with both internal and external clients, including Regulators
* Self-motivated, with flexible attitude and strong anaytical skills
* Experience within a banking environment (this experience could have been gained in a major accounting or consultancy firm)
* Numerate degree (preferably maths or econometrics). Ideally some experience in either statistics or Monte Carlo simulation
